Thanks for the insights Bryan as always. I'd like to see the 100-year-old life be one where it doesn't take 80% of the healthcare spending happening in the later years because we took better care of ourselves well ahead of time and the related preventative healthcare was covered. by insurance instead of just covering treatments, medicines and surgeries.

I couldn’t agree more. A 100-year life only works if we shift from a “repair model” to a “maintenance model.”

Right now, we spend the majority of healthcare dollars in the last years of life — managing preventable chronic conditions instead of investing earlier in muscle, metabolic health, bone density, cardiovascular screening, and lifestyle support. Prevention shouldn’t be a luxury add-on; it should be the default infrastructure.
